HISTORY & OBJECTIVE

OCR Kids was founded in 2018, A year after Obstacle Course Racing made its debut in the Philippines. It was founded by Sarah Jane Lim, a Family Life and Child Development graduate from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and a former National Training Pool athlete for Obstacle Sports.

Coach Sarah, as she likes to be called, saw the enthusiasm Obstacle Sports has received from the Philippines but can't help but notice that there was not any opportunity for the young kids to participate in the sport that was very much like a playground! After getting her World Obstacle Coaching Certification, she put a lot of her time and effort in making the sport available to children.

The first OCR Kids class was conducted at Obstacle Sports Factory in Makati in the summer of 2018. it started only with a handful of students. Since then, OCR Kids has served children through summer programs, birthday celebrations, After-school programs, competitions, events, and trainings. After 5 years in the industry, a lot of the kids who started with OCR Kids are now in the national youth developmental pool of the Federation for Obstacle Sports. 

OCR Kids is the pioneer of OCR Training for kids and it continues to serve the children of today. We continue to partner with passionate coaches who want to contribute to the next generation.

Combining her knowledge from her Child Development studies, her youth athletic experience, and her coaching knowledge and experience, and working with like-minded coaches, Coach Sarah envisions that through the OCR Kids program, kids will develop holistically, healthily, and happily.
